Press | High Street Heroes Feature | Ideal Home Magazine | March 2015

During London Design Festival 2014 at the annual Heal's Designers dinner, I was lucky enough to be put in touch with Ginevra Benedetti, who is a interiors and home journalist. From that conversation I was subsequently featured as an Ideal Home Magazine "High Street Hero' - very exciting indeed. Especially as they have previously featured such esteemed designers as Theo Williams, Bold & Noble (I own a few of their prints), Mini Moderns and Orla Kiely!

Big thank you to Beth Davis, who quickly took some flattering shots early one morning in the office.

Busibuddies Podcast interview

Recently, I had a podcast interview with Edward Daniel for Busibuddies, which is a business media network for business owners and professionals designed to increase guest and member visibility and collaboration. To listen to the podcast please follow this link; the quality makes me sound a bit like I've been auto-tuned, but it is me.

I'm in the June On Office!

This is the cover story of the June issue of On Office Magazine, written by Kerstin Zumstein and photographs by Ed Reeve; who I blogged about in my 'Milano Diary'. I was asked how has the recession affected me and what will the effect be on design?

Between Michael Maroitt (website) and Tom Dixon (website) not bad hey! I decided to go for opportunity as that is what the recession has given me. I was offered redundancy and left my job in December 2008. Finally I had the chance and no more excuses, to pursue my dream job in design full time. I now have a range of work in my portfolio, my first collection of four products and I'm looking forward to more shows and new designs. Now I just need to get some money coming in, via briefs, licencing agreements and employment!

Since Milan I have been frantically chasing contacts, emailing out high res photos and updating online profiles. I have just joined a new one called RADOSTAR it has networks and online portfolios, it was also launched at Milan this year, so hopefully more people will join. I have been recently featured in an online magazine the Contemporistwhich is really great, hopefully there will be more articles soon.

Thank you to all who made it to Milan.

I thought I would include some close up images of the final pieces shown in Milan:
