Making of – INNY & OUTY
These items were produced during my time in Sweden.
They were my final project on my glass design course.
They are a collection of modular vases. The vases have a lip which allows them to be mixed and matched to suit various lengthened stems of flowers.
I developed a new manufacturing process in order to achieve the lip.

Making of – TUFFET
The very first prototype to be launched at Milan 2010.
The stools are made from sawdust and resin, from a process in its infancy developed by Turners & Moore and Kirsty Whyte.
The Sawdust and resin mix is molded under high pressure and heat. The resulting material can then be worked and finished like timber. This process uses a material that would usually be thrown away; using a mould also means a larger shape can be made with less wastage in comparison to solid timber.
The complete set of three stools and a small table can be stacked away and also used as a side table.
Dims: Stacked set – H84 x Dia 47cmEast stool – H35cm

Making of – HOUND
These small colourful quirky occasional tables tessellate together creating larger tables, or can also be stacked for easy storage.
Inspired by origami folds and traditional Japanese patterns, they have been created with little or no material wastage.
Launched at Designers Block in Milan 2009.

Making of – GORDO
The round ‘space age’ shape and experimental manufacture inspired the name “Gordo”, after the first monkey into space!
Made from Borosilcate glass and manufactured using a process developed with the manufacturer, to create this ‘one piece’ pendant light.
Launched in Milan 2009 as part of Designers Block

Making of – DREW
These new tables are an extension of the Drew range Launched in Spring 2009.
They use same design language and manufacturing process, made from one continuous piece of steel rod – meaning minimal material is wasted in production.
The forms have been pared down, making an even purer form. They are smaller and lighter so it can sit with any contemporary environment.
Sampled by Automated Wire Bending Limited.
Steel Rod base and Tempered Glass top. The steel used is recycled steel in order to make the product as environmentally friendly as possible..
Available to buy now from MODUS.

Making of – CARLOTTA
Carlotta is lamp worked stemware.
The wine glass has been used & developed over hundreds of years, but the overall form still remains the same, I wanted to look at making the over all form more contemporary, without making it un-commercial.

Making Of – ARRAY BOWLS
Each bowl is made from one single piece of folded sheet steel that has been laser cut, so there is very little waste from production.
The Spring/Summer colours of Aqua, Mushroom and Magenta add a refreshing punch of colour to any table top.
