MONO CUSHION
Made.com in-house design brief for Spring/Summer 2013 cushion collection.
Brief to design affordable design led pattern to compliment the current catalogue. Monographic was inspired from catwalk fashion trends of graphic shapes, monochrome and fleuro accent colours. The fuchsia piping adds a contemporary twist and punch of colour. A complimenting rug is also included in this range, using a more muted verdigris accent colour.
HOUND RUG
Exclusive Made In-House Design Brief AW12-SS13.
Brief was to create a simple commercial graphic rug, that would suit many customers interiors.
Creating a modern take on one of the most iconic patterns around; Hounds Tooth, but uses a subtle light great to give accessibility to the customer, and scaling up so the pattern its too busy for a room.
CHEVRON RUG

A simple design classic getting a renaissance in modern interiors; here in grey tones, but for SS13 brighter yellow zig-zags added.
This rug design was briefed to add graphic pattern and style to a customers home without being overbearing or to ‘trendy’ that it would go out of style quickly.
READY WALL HOOK & MIRROR
Launched by Normann Copenhagen at Maison et Objet Jan 2013.
Ready is a combination of a coat hook and mirror in one object making it quick and easy to grab your coat and check your appearance when you’re in a hurry to get out of the door. The rounded, voluminous shape of the coat hook is also specially designed to protect the collar of your coat, helping keep its shape.
The design originated from manipulating sheets of cardboard until the perfect shape was found.
Ready is available in six colourful variations and is a perfect way of adding colour and character to the hallway or bedroom. Blue and grey coat hooks can be combined for a peaceful, masculine look. You can also cause a stir by filling up a wall with Ready coat hooks in pink and red.

MEYER CUSHIONS
Exclusive MADE.COM in-house design brief AW12-SS13 Collection. Drawing inspiration from current trends including the Art Deco revival. I used traditional shapes like the fan, palm frond and stylised female faces introducing a con-temporised the colour pallets.
The range consists of a set of 2 designs and colourways designed to compliment each other and the Carraway Range.
LIMPET WALL HOOK – New Colours
The original Limpet design launched in 2009, were manufactured from timer off-cuts by a UK timber manufacturer.
They were then submitted by Kirsty to the VOTE section of the MADE.COM website and receiving a huge number of customer votes, the Limpet Hooks have now been launched by MADE.COM due to popular demand.
After the successful launch of the first multicolour set at MADE.COM in Red, Blue and Grey in 2012, a new multicolour set has been launched in Purple, Taupe and Yellow for 2013. They can be hung individually or both sets are designed to compliment each other.
The hooks are warm, tactile and practical; the saturated purple and yellow colours combined with the muted taupe and eye-catching design make interesting wall art.
LAYERS RUG
Exclusive Made In-House Design Brief AW12-SS13.
Colours pulled from the MADE 2012-2013 colour pallet I composed from fashion, furniture fairs and editorial articles. This simple design uses four colours layered over each other to create seven colours in total.
Inspired by the fashion world’s love for block colours and layering. A second colourway due for release Autumn 2013.
MONOGRAPHIC RUG

Pulling on my own love or graphic pattern and the emerging interiors trend of monochromes, filtering through from fashion. Crisp lines with a graphic repeat almost creating an optical illusion. Adding warmth and comfort to a room while keeping an edgy look. Verdisgris strip added go soften look.
With complimenting cushion in same range.
TWIST OCCASIONAL TABLES
The Twist Occasional Tables were selected by Heal’s for Heal’s Discovers 2011.
This modular design by Kirsty Whyte, puts a fresh spin on the classic space saving concept. The solid oak tables with white powder-coated aluminium legs swivel round to form an interconnected chain.
They can also be pulled apart and used separately; creating a fresh spin on the classic space saving concept.
One leg of the smaller tables is tubular so the leg of the larger table slides into it.

DREW TABLE
These new tables are an extension of the Drew range Launched in Spring 2009.
They use same design language and manufacturing process – made from one continuous piece of steel rod – meaning minimal material is wasted in production. The forms have been pared down, making an even purer form. They are smaller and lighter so it can sit with any contemporary environment.
Steel Rod base and Tempered Glass top. The steel used is recycled steel in order to make the product as environmentally friendly as possible..
DREW has now been taken on by MODUS, an award winning British Furniture company, who are dedicated to producing the very best in contemporary design. It was launched in MILAN 2011.

ORSON FOOTSTOOLS
As a Product Manager for Upholstery and Accessories for Made.com Kirsty works directly with manufacturers and suppliers. As well as sourcing, buying and developing product she also works on in-house briefs; designing for accessories, furniture and upholstery divisions.
Kirsty designed the Orson Footstool as an addition to the best-selling range, currently available in Oxford Grey, Poppy Red and Biscuit Beige.
CARRAWAY CUSHIONS

Inspiration from current trends such as the Art Deco revival and graphic patterns. I used traditional shapes and contemporised the colour pallets. Carraway is a name taken from one of the key characters in the classic book by Scott Fitzgerald; The Great Gatsby.
REGAL CUSHIONS
Exclusive MADE.COM in-house design brief AW12-SS13 Collection. Inspired by the recent burst of British patriotism following the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics.
A graphic take on Elizabeth II Imperial Crown, using simplified lines and block, on trend colours.
NESTING CANDLESTICKS
The Nesting Candlesticks were selected by Heal’s for Heal’s Discovers 2011.
This modular candlestick designed exclusively for Heal’s by London based designer Kirsty Whyte allows you to assemble your own customised centrepiece by building up several of the holders.
Whyte focuses on designs which can be adapted to suit personal needs, and came up with the idea for these candleholders whilst playing around with OXO cubes.
Made in walnut, each holder has two embedded metal sections for holding candles.
